Rev. Joseph A. Keller, M.A., M.Div., Pastor of Christ Covenant Church,
Dallas, TX. was born in 1959. He grew up in Red Lion, PA. and attended the Bible
Presbyterian Church of York, where he came to faith in Christ at age 11. At age
13 he sensed God's call to the ministry.
He graduated from Shelton College, Cape May, N.J. with a B.A. in Biblical
Literature in 1981 and a B.A. in History in 1982. His Seminary work was done at
Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., graduating in 1984 with an M.A. in
Church History and in 1987 with a Master of Divinity. He also completed the
course work toward a Ph.D. in Theology.
He was ordained as a Minister of the Bible Presbyterian Church in 1987 and
received a call to serve as Assistant Pastor of Armor Bible Presbyterian Church,
Orchard Park, N.Y., where he served from 1987 to 1991. There he met and married
his wife Jean, who holds a B.A. in Biology from Cedarville University, Ohio and
was serving as a Medical Technologist. From 1992-93 he served as Pastor of
Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio.
In 1994 he was received by the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and installed as
Teacher (Associate Pastor) at Grace Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio, where
he served in a part-time capacity from 1994 to 2002, while also working as a Lab
Analyst at Abbott Laboratories, Ross Products Division. He was called to and
began serving as Pastor of Christ Covenant Church, Dallas TX. in Dec. 2002.
Joe and Jean have 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. They homeschool their
children. The oldest, Hannah, was born in 1992. The younger children are Rebekah,
Ruth, Naomi, Deborah and Daniel.
